Cherokee County Introduces Convenient Tag Renewal Kiosk in Macedonia Community

The recently established kiosk is located in the Woodmont Village Kroger, which is conveniently situated at 8020 Cumming Highway in close proximity to Canton. This advantageous location guarantees convenience for the inhabitants of Macedonia and the neighboring communities, obviating the necessity for lengthy journeys to Canton in order to complete routine vehicle registration responsibilities.

The initiative was led by Tax Commissioner Denise Mastroserio, who worked in conjunction with Kroger and the Georgia Department of Revenue to obtain authorization for the new location. Mastroserio and Commissioner Steve West understood the significance of minimizing resident inconvenience by providing localized services to communities such as Macedonia, Free Home, Lathemtown, and Buffington.

“The addition of this kiosk reflects our commitment to enhancing accessibility and convenience for our residents,” said Mastroserio. “With the new kiosk operational at Kroger, residents in the area can renew their vehicle registration at their convenience, without the need for lengthy trips to Canton.”

Using the kiosk requires no special effort. Individuals are provided with the choice between scanning a driver’s license or a letter of renewal for vehicle registration, or manually inputting their tag number and the final four digits of their VIN number if selecting the tag number option. Renewals may be settled via debit or credit card, subject to a nominal transaction fee of $4.95. By facilitating the fulfillment of a maximum of ten renewals per transaction, the procedure for managing multiple vehicles or registrations is streamlined.

Consistent with Kroger’s business hours, the kiosk is accessible forty-eight hours a week, during that time period. This degree of adaptability guarantees that inhabitants are able to conveniently avail themselves of vital services, even beyond customary operating periods.
