Federal authorities have arrested Steven Bunte, a former Cherokee County sheriff’s deputy, following an extensive child exploitation investigation.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office reported that Bunte was apprehended Tuesday morning at his home in Gordon County. According to jail records, Bunte faces five counts of computer/electronic pornography and child exploitation.
