It has been difficult to get Senate confirmation for President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of “Deep state” conspiracy theorist Kash Patel as the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
According to information obtained by Knewz.com, “MAGAloyalist” Patel has been an outspoken opponent of the FBI and has threatened to fire the bureau’s top brass and close its headquarters.
The president-elect posted the following on his Truth Social platform to announce Patel’s nomination:
“Kash is an accomplished attorney, investigator, and America First warrior who has dedicated his professional life to uncovering wrongdoing, upholding the rule of law, and safeguarding the American people. This FBI will eradicate the migratory criminal gangs, curb the awful pandemic of drug and people trafficking across the border, and put an end to America’s escalating crime epidemic.”
The appointment of Patel as the Director of the most influential law enforcement agency in the United States is noteworthy since it coincides with the resignation or dismissal of current FBI Chief Christopher Wray.
Wray was appointed in 2017 during the first term of the Trump administration, and he is currently three years short of his 10-year term.
According to sources, the U.S. Senate is unsure about Patel, even though Wray now enjoys the esteem of some members of Congress.
Regarding Patel’s nomination, Republican Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota stated that although he gave presidents the “benefit of the doubt,” senators have a constitutional duty to oversee the process.
However, Ropunds said that current FBI Director Wray is a very nice man and that he has no issues with the way [Wray] is currently performing his duties.
Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas stated in a statement that he believes the Trump loyalist will be confirmed as the FBI’s chief, but other Republican senators have seconded Trump’s candidacy.
“Patel is a very strong nominee to take on the partisan corruption of the FBI,” Cruz said in reference to the filing.
“Kash is the best at uncovering what’s happened to the FBI and I look forward to seeing him taking it apart,” stated Tennessee Republican Senator Bill Hagerty, who appeared to agree with the Texas senator regarding Patel.
According to reports, the FBI also issued a statement about Trump’s choice for Bureau Chief, saying:
“Every day, the men and women of the FBI continue to work to protect Americans from a growing array of threats… Director Wray s focus remains on the men and women of the FBI, the people we do the work with, and the people we do the work for.”
It’s important to remember that the well-known Trump supporter and outspoken conspiracy theorist has frequently described the FBI as the backbone of the corrupt ruling elite or the deep state.
Patel promised in a prior interview to permanently close the Bureau’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., and reopen the structure as a deep state museum.
As the next FBI Director, Patel promised during his recent interview on Steve Bannon’s War Room that he would join Trump-appointed patriots in a “all-out effort” to arrest and imprison members of the government and media, according to sources.
“We’ll uncover the plotters in the media and government. The MAGA supporters stated on the show, “Yes, we will target those in the media.”
Patel also apparently keeps a list of those he says are to blame for corruption in the federal government, which allegedly includes Jake Sullivan, the current National Security advisor to President Joe Biden.
Trump’s choice for FBI chief is said to view Sullivan as “one of the corrupt actors of the first order.”
Notably, in a recent statement, Sullivan commended the current FBI Director and noted that, despite Wray’s appointment during Trump’s administration, President Biden retained him as the Bureau’s Director.
“With distinction, completely insulated from politics or the partisan preferences of the current sitting president,” he continued, Wray performed his duties. President Biden has upheld this admirable, profound bipartisan tradition.
