A high school Battle of the Bands competition is scheduled to be introduced this year at the highly anticipated Lemonade Days Festival in Dunwoody, a community-cherished landmark event. Taking place at Brook Run Park from April 17-21, this supplementary component is anticipated to introduce an additional dimension of amusement to an event that was already dynamic.
Consistently a highlight of the community calendar, Lemonade Days is a community event coordinated by the Dunwoody Preservation Trust and supported by Fifth Third Bank. In addition to a variety of food and beverage options, equine rides, a petting zoo, and author appearances, the event has attracted substantial audiences. Dunwoody Idol, a competition that has become a highlight for many attendees, is also held at the festival, which is in its ninth year.
With ensembles from Mt. Vernon Presbyterian School, Peachtree Charter Middle School, Dunwoody High School, and Atlanta Academy, the Battle of the Bands, an event conceived by Mark Gallegos, serves as a platform to exhibit the talent of area high schools.
