Trump Batters Bill! Jaded Leftie Maher, 68, Set to Quit HBO’s ‘Real Time’ as He’s so ‘Exhausted’ Covering The Don — ‘I’ve Done It’

Left-handed and jadedBill Maher acknowledged that he is prepared to leave HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher because he has had enough of covering President-elect Donald Trump.

In a pre-election episode of Podcastep, the television anchor talked candidly about quitting his job because he was afraid Trump would become the 47th president, according to Knewz.com.

During Sunday night’s episode with Jane Fonda on his podcast, Club Random, Maher disclosed that he is thinking about quitting his job over the president-elect because he is tired.

“I mean, I might quit,” he said to the actress. I don’t want to repeat what I did with Trump. I was the first to complete all of the Trump-related tasks. I was the first to brand him a phony. I did; he is a boss in the mafia. It was me who said that he would not give up the election. I’ve completed it. This f—— has been witnessed by me.

Fonda asked: So why is he so antagonistic toward Jimmy Kimmeland but not toward you?

“He’s very hostile to me,” Maher went on. Every week, he tweets about me. He unintentionally watches my show every week and declares, “Low ratings, loser!” I find it boring.

Back in September, President-elect Trump attacked Maher on Truth Social, criticizing “the fake laughter on the show.”

Trump went on to say: “It sounds like a horrible laugh machine, and it’s really annoying and filthy, exactly like him, who never stops laughing whatever is said.

Fonda encouraged the presenter to come up with something new and not do Trump in an effort to assist him in coming up with a new direction for his show.

In response, Maher retorted: Politics is the show. Nothing else exists. Additionally, he will continue to dominate the news as usual.

The Fonda episode was filmed before President Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris in a historic 2024 presidential election.

Before the election, Maher declared, “I’m s——- my pants,” expressing his concerns about Trump obtaining a second term.

The comedian’s political conversations with various guests were the main topic of his 2003 debut show, Real Time with Bill Maher.

If Maher doesn’t finish it sooner, the HBO series, which been extended for two more seasons, might continue until the end of 2026.

For years, Maher and Trump have been embroiled in a bitter public dispute.

Trump filed a lawsuit against the TV personality in 2013 over comments he made while on The Tonight Show.

After he stated on television that she had an affair with the president-elect, Maher was sued for $150 million by Laura Loomer, one of Trump’s followers, in October 2024.

According to Loomer’s lawsuit, Maher’s public accusations have caused her to endure unwarranted mockery, embarrassment, loss of career opportunity and reputation, and financial harm.
