Due to wildfires that devastated their property, Heidi Montag and her husband, Spencer Pratt, were forced to leave their house in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles. They also lost a number of personal belongings in the fire.
According to Knewz.com, reality TV personalities had to go quickly, bringing only necessities.
During the hectic escape, Montag, 38, recounted what she packed and what she regrets leaving behind on Wednesday, January 15.
Montag apologized for not grabbing precious photo albums that were among the things left behind. According to the former Hillsstar, she believed they would come back to get them.
“I don’t have any pictures,” she disclosed. Before Instagram, TikTok, and iPhones existed, I created these photo albums for Spencer.
“I will never have these pictures again. You know, all these sentimental items have simply vanished.”
Pratt, 41, also apologized for abandoning a unique Christmas gift that he had persuaded his wife to buy for herself.
“She got herself nothing,” he asserted. She then purchased these Golden Goose shoes for herself in Palisade Village just before Christmas. It was a significant gift for her. “Just get your Golden Goose,” I said, but she didn’t.
At the conclusion of packing, it dawned on Montag that he might not return. “Oh my gosh,” I thought, “I have to go to the kids’ room and get their bears.” And I had Gunner, who was so focused on me that he had a 104-degree fever for days.”
Under pressure to make snap judgments, the couple prioritized necessities while ignoring other valuable and cherished possessions.
“I was at a loss for what to do,” the former Hills star stated.
“I couldn’t have been ready for that at all. You simply are unable to comprehend it. I didn’t think about anything else until I started packing the things that made sense.
She stated that packing up “the kids’ stuff” was her top priority.
“I therefore obtained their teddy bears. Gunner left his teeth in my closet, and I grabbed them at random from the tooth fairy.
“I took out a couple of the pre-packed documents from the (prior) fires that we had years ago.
“I picked up two shirts and two pairs of jeans. I picked out a pair of shoes—a pair of sneakers at random.
“Stuff” is not as important to Montag and Pratt as their community.
“I miss our friends,” remarked the mother of two. I miss our everyday existence. I miss going there to drop off my son at school. I’m so sorry for all of our pals, and I miss our entire universe.
“I feel terrible for our community as a whole. Our loss is not the only one. Our city, of which we are all such active members, is practically being lost.
Montag also mentioned how odd it was to miss the small details of their everyday lives. “You miss waking up in your bed with your pillows and mirrors and the smells of your house and the kids,” she explained. It’s really difficult.
The Hollywood couple discussed their losses in the L.A. wildfires with US Weekly.
