The comedian even planned a jab at the Pope, as revealed by Knewz.com, and would have slammed broadsides at Justin Timberlake and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
However, the organizers would have banned him for the gruesome content.
Before going back to comp re in 2016 and 2020, Brit Gervais, 63, presented the awards ceremony for three years in a row in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
His direct jabs at Hollywood’s biggest stars are what people remember him for.
After advising the celebrity to “be herself,” Gervais has now decided to come up with some jokes he would have said if he were hosting the Globes again in 2025. This comes after ComicNikki Glaser became the first woman to host the event in its 82-year existence.

“Kevin Hartsaid that being at one of Diddy’s parties was uncomfortable, as he wouldn’t leave him alone,” Gervais wrote, demonstrating his propensity for non-PC language. It took him a while to yell, “Imma Midget, not a child.”
Federal prosecutors accused Combs and his colleagues of threatening, abusing, and coercing women and others “to fulfill his sexual desires” before his arrest in September on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Any wrongdoing has been disputed by him.
Jokes about Mel Gibson’s DUI and antisemitic tirade, disgraced producer and convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein, and Angelina Jolie-Johnny Depp’s scumbag The Tourist were some of Gervais’s most frank remarks when hosting the Golden Globes.
Gervais got into a fight last year when a fellow comedian claimed that the Golden Globes host had harassed him so much that he broke out in hives.
After stating that the physical violence he endured from Gervais had a negative impact on his health, Robin Ince, who supported the creator of The Office while on tour in the 2000s, left comedy in 2015.
“I am not claiming that it was a traumatic experience, but after two weeks I appeared with red lumps that my doctor diagnosed as a stress rash,” Ince, 55, stated.
“I think my hair was coming out in clumps.”
He continued: “I look back now, and I think it is bullying…really it is.”
Gervais joked that “many talented people of color were snubbed in major categories” a year prior to the Golden Globes being boycotted because of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s (HFPA) lack of diversity among its members. Unfortunately, due of the extreme racism of the Hollywood foreign press, there is little we can do about it.
Since then, the HFPA has expanded its membership and implemented changes aimed at reducing what was seen as unethical conduct.
