The Social Security Administration claims that the average payment for 18 to 64-year-olds is worth $742. This does not mean that you are entitled to that amount.
In fact, eligible recipients can get up to $943 if they are an individual. Eligible married couples can receive up to $1,415. As you can see, it is not double the amount an individual receives since it would be $1,886.

The next payment date for Supplemental Security Income will be on August 30, 2024. This is the September check or direct deposit sent in advance because Sunday, September 1 is not a possible payday.
