Georgia Woman Arrested Three Times in Just Over a Day, Police Say

A woman in Lavonia was arrested three separate times within a 25-hour span, according to local authorities, following a series of incidents that included an alleged false report, DUI, and trespassing.

Police identified the suspect as April Taylor, a former manager at the Beaver Creek Trailer Park. Investigators say the string of events began when Taylor reported that someone had fired shots at her during an attempted vehicle break-in at the trailer park.

However, officers with the Lavonia Police Department found no evidence to support her claims. After canvassing the area, they reported no witnesses, damage, or physical signs that a shooting had occurred. This led investigators to pursue charges related to making false statements.

First Arrest: DUI and Traffic Offenses

On the morning of March 31, a patrol officer discovered Taylor’s vehicle parked sideways on Wright Street, blocking the entrance to the trailer park. Authorities said she was seen exiting the passenger side of another vehicle and told the officer she was attempting to prevent access to the property.

Following an on-site investigation, Taylor was arrested on charges including driving under the influence and other traffic violations. She was taken to the Hart County Detention Center and later released on bond.

Second Arrest: False Statement Charge

As the investigation into the alleged shooting continued, police obtained a warrant charging Taylor with making false statements. Later that day, deputies with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office located her at a local business.

She was taken into custody again and transported to the Franklin County Detention Center by Lavonia police. After processing, she was once more released on bond.

Third Arrest: Trespassing Incident

The situation escalated late that same night. Just before midnight on March 31, police say Taylor returned to the Beaver Creek Trailer Park despite being barred from the property following her termination as manager earlier that day.

Authorities allege she entered a resident’s home without permission. Although she left before officers arrived, warrants were quickly issued for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

On April 1, officers located Taylor at a gas station within city limits and arrested her for the third time. She was taken back into custody in connection with the new charges.

Ongoing Investigation

Police confirmed that Taylor had officially been prohibited from entering the trailer park property after losing her job, making her return a violation of that order. Her alleged actions resulted in multiple charges stacking up over a short period.

Officials say management and residents of Beaver Creek Trailer Park are cooperating fully with investigators as they continue to look into the incidents.

The case has drawn attention due to the rapid sequence of arrests and the unusual circumstances surrounding the initial report. Authorities have not indicated whether additional charges could be filed as the investigation remains active.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with additional information to come forward as they work to fully piece together the events that led to the multiple arrests.
