In a significant boost to its firefighting capabilities, Cal Fire has announced the expansion of its aerial fleet with the addition of seven C-130 aircraft. This strategic enhancement aims to bolster the state’s wildfire response and improve the effectiveness of aerial firefighting operations.
The C-130 Hercules, a versatile and robust aircraft originally designed for military transport, has been adapted for use in combating wildfires.
