Prosecutors in Mexico stated this week that two women from Arizona were shot and killed on a rogue section of highway.

According to the Sonora attorney general’s office, the bodies of two women—one 72 years old and the other 82 years old—were found in a white Nissan Pathfinder that had been flipped over and was covered with gunshot holes.

This happened on the side of the Sonoyta-Caborca highway, close to a village outside the Mexico border.
