Lilburn Man Arrested for Transporting 14-Year-Old in Child Exploitation Case

The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office arrested an 18-year-old man on July 3 after he allegedly transported a 14-year-old girl from North Carolina to Georgia. Kevin Carcamo-Garcia, a resident of Lilburn, Georgia, was apprehended following a request for assistance from the United States Marshals Service.

The Sheriff’s Office Trafficking and Child Exploitation and Gang Units were contacted by the Marshals on July 3 to help locate the missing girl. Carcamo-Garcia, who was reportedly in a relationship with the minor, was found and arrested at his home in Lilburn. During questioning, Carcamo-Garcia admitted to transporting the girl across state lines.

The girl was found safe and immediately transferred to the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services. She has since been returned to her mother in North Carolina.

Carcamo-Garcia now faces serious charges, including statutory rape and child molestation. He was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail with a bond set at $11,400.
