The NYPD is searching for four males seen fleeing a Manhattan coffee shop after a violent attack on Tuesday evening. The incident began when a shirtless man, appearing distressed, stumbled into Milo Coffee Shop on Amsterdam Avenue around 6 p.m., pursued by another individual who paused at the door.
Shortly afterward, a group of males entered the establishment, and one of them stabbed the 39-year-old victim multiple times in the neck. Witnesses reported seeing several young individuals brandishing knives during the chaotic scene.
Surveillance footage captured the dramatic moments inside the coffee shop. Workers and a customer valiantly fought back, using chairs and fists to fend off the attackers. Two female employees were seen jumping over the counter to seek help from a neighboring business, while a small child hid behind the counter. Ultimately, the staff managed to force the group out of the shop.
The victim was initially transported to the hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable condition. However, there was no immediate update on his status available as of Wednesday.
The police have not yet made any arrests in connection with the stabbing. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
