The town of Woodstock is gearing up for a vibrant year ahead, announcing a full calendar of events designed to bring residents and visitors together through music, food, culture, and community fun.
Town officials say the goal is simple: create experiences that appeal to all ages while drawing more people into the heart of downtown.
A Growing Tradition of Community Events
After hosting more than 20 events last year, organizers are building on that momentum with a refined schedule for 2026.
Marketing and events coordinator Jennifer Dufner emphasized the town’s focus on variety, noting that Woodstock events are known for offering something new and unique each time.
The aim, she said, is to create a welcoming space where families, young adults, and visitors can all find something to enjoy.
‘Wander Woodstock’ Expands for 2026
One of the town’s most popular programs, Wander Woodstock, is getting a major boost this year.
The monthly First Friday event—featuring live entertainment, local vendors, and downtown shopping—will now run continuously from April through October, eliminating its previous summer break.
Organizers are also planning:
- More food options, including desserts
- Family-friendly and kid-focused activities
- Increased engagement with local businesses
The goal is to keep energy high throughout the entire season and avoid competing with other regional events.
Live Music and Signature Festivals Return
Outdoor concerts will once again take center stage with the Woodstock ROCS series at W.O. Riley Park.
Although scaled down to two shows this year, the events will still feature live performances, food vendors, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
Another highlight is WoodsTACO, a fan-favorite celebration of food and culture scheduled for September. Organizers say the event goes beyond tacos, offering a mix of flavors, entertainment, and community connection.
Dufner shared that live music and street dancing are expected to return, creating a lively festival atmosphere that brings neighbors together.
Seasonal Events for Every Occasion
Woodstock’s calendar also includes a wide range of seasonal celebrations throughout the year, such as:
- A historical celebration marking America’s 250th anniversary
- Summer pool parties and outdoor gatherings
- Independence Day fireworks
- National Night Out with local law enforcement
- Fall festivities like Halloween on Court Square
- Holiday traditions including Light Up Woodstock and a festive parade
These events are designed to create memorable experiences while strengthening community ties.
Building a Stronger Community
Organizers say the overall vision is to make downtown Woodstock a hub of activity year-round—one that encourages people to gather, explore, and support local businesses.
With a mix of returning favorites and thoughtful improvements, the town hopes 2026 will be another successful year of connection and celebration.
Looking Ahead
With events spanning from spring through the holiday season, Woodstock is inviting everyone to take part in the excitement.
Whether it’s enjoying live music, sampling local food, or celebrating with neighbors, the town’s lineup promises something for everyone.
