A disturbing case out of Cherokee County has ended with a life sentence for a man convicted of killing his wife and attempting to murder her teenage son.
Kelvin Demond Williams, 48, was found guilty on 13 charges, including malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, attempted murder, and cruelty to children. He has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, along with an additional 100 years and 12 months.
Deadly Night Inside a Woodstock Home
Prosecutors say the shooting took place on July 13, 2025, at a home in the Woodstock area.
The victim, Tenisha Williams, 48, was killed during a violent incident that also placed her 16-year-old son in grave danger.
The teenager managed to call 911 during the attack, telling dispatchers that his stepfather had shot his mother and fired at him, warning that the suspect might still be armed and reloading.
A younger child, just four years old, was asleep in another room during the shooting.

According to prosecutors, home security footage documented the sequence of events inside the house.
Investigators say Williams first fired at the teen, then turned the weapon toward his wife. Several shots were fired before the final gunfire proved fatal.
