Bill Maher Blindsides Fans With Staggering Admission

During his second time in office, Bill Maher has stated that he will stop making jokes about President-elect Donald Trump.

The talk-show comic was quoted as saying he is “not going to chase every rabbit down the hole like I did the first term” by Knewz.com.

Maher stated in his interview with CNN on Friday, January 10: “I’m not going to pre-hate anything, but he’s a weird man who says a lot of kooky stuff.

“I’m just going to hope for the best, and then when something serious happens, I’ll comment on that.”

Over the years, Maher has been an outspoken opponent of Trump and has warned that “complete devastation” may result from a Republican triumph in the 2024 presidential election.

According to Maher, there was still room for ideas like Trump’s recent plans to buy Greenland and make Canada the 51st state.

“That’s perfect for comedy, but I’m not going to take it seriously,” the late-night host clarified.

Maher also reaffirmed in the interview his opinion that Joe Biden should have withdrawn from the election sooner to allow the Democratic Party to run a “open” primary since he is too elderly to be president.

“Being the only person on television for so long who was constantly ranting against ageism, I felt like I had standing to make that case,” he continued. For years, I have maintained that ageism is the final form of discrimination that is acceptable in this nation.

“You can always make age jokes and criticize individuals for being too old, but as I mentioned, it was case-by-case.

“At 70, some people behave as though they are 100 years old, while others act as though they are 40. However, in this instance, Biden was simply too elderly.

The Real Time presenter is accustomed to receiving taunts from conservatives, but it now seems to elicit fury and indignation from liberals almost as frequently.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Maher disclosed how he has expanded his comedic repertoire to include more jokes about “woke” liberals.

“You provide me with additional material,” he said to his detractors. I am a comedian. Where the gold is, that’s where I’m heading.”

“They can’t stand to endure a moment of hearing something they don’t already agree with,” the TV comic said in response to his mounting annoyance with left-wing Democrats. The left does it worse than the right, but the right does it too.

Maher disparaged Ilhan Omar, calling him “not my favorite,” and attacked progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, calling her “a little out there.”

Maher did, however, commend Seth Moulton, who recently came under fire from his party for raising concerns over transgender participation in minor sports.

Regarding those who called Moulton a transphobe to an N— collaborator, Maher stated: “Everything with these people has to be an opportunity for virtue signaling.”

He also talked about how his choice to invite conservatives like Ted Cruz, Bill Barr, and Ann Coulter to appear on his show has caused some Democrats to break up their relations with him.

“Just consider this: people who despise me for whom I will not despise,” the host remarked. I won’t hate those who despise me for who I am.”
