Jeff Bezos has stepped forth to refute speculations that he and Lauren Sanchez are getting married in a lavish $600 million wedding.
According to Knewz.com, the 60-year-old Amazon entrepreneur spoke out following the online disclosure of an alleged guest list and other information for the Aspence ceremony.
Bezos replied to a tweet on X (previously Twitter) that had details from a recent article claiming that on Saturday, December 28, he and his 55-year-old fiancée were being married in Aspen, Colorado, for $600 million.
“This is not credible,” he shared. You cannot spend this much money unless you are purchasing a home for each of your guests.
Furthermore, none of this is real; the entire situation is utterly untrue. To this day, the phrase ‘don’t believe everything you read’ is more relevant than ever.
“Lies have the ability to spread around the globe before the truth can catch on. Therefore, people, exercise caution and avoid being credulous.
Bezos then criticized other media outlets for spreading the untrue hisnuptial rumors.
He added: “Will be interesting to see if all the outlets that ‘covered’ and re-reported on this issue a correction when it comes and goes and doesn’t happen.”
According to a “well-connected member of the Aspen community” who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the Amazon founder and his group landed at the city’s airport on Saturday, December 21 on a private plane.
According to one source, they were informed that the extravagant wedding would cost an estimated $600 million, while another stated that Bezos would host the ceremony at Kevin Costner’s 160-acre Dunbar Ranch.
After Christmas Day, the guests were expected to check into Aspen’s best hotels, including the five-star St Regis Hotel, according to a source with knowledge of the wedding arrangements.
There were rumors of a hilltop ceremony with breathtaking “winter wonderland” vistas, as well as a full weekend of festivities around the wedding.
Sarah Rose Attman, a high-end Aspen planner, toldthe Daily Mail: “They’ll cherry-pick their favorite things from around the world and fly them into Aspen, whether it’s a cake from Paris, a hairstylist from New York, or a string band from Los Angeles.”
Snchez disclosed that she had purchased her wedding gown during a recent broadcast of The Today Show, but no specific plans have been disclosed to the public.
Bezos and his ex-wife MacKenzie Scott have four children together: three sons and one daughter.
With her ex-husband Patrick Whitesell, Sanchez has children Evan and Ella, and with her ex-husband Tony Gonzalez, she has a son named Nikko.
