Following Joe Biden’s recent dismissal of his son Hunter Biden’s conviction, Donald Trump has made references to using his authority to liberate the January 6Capitol rioters.
According to Knewz.com, the MAGA leader called Biden’s declaration a “miscarriage of justice” after the president said the Justice System had “selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted” his 54-year-old son.
Since then, Biden’s decision to pardon Hunter has generated controversy, although his supporters support the action as just. However, he has been criticized for putting his family before the nation, including Colorado Governor Jared Polis.
Despite having previously pledged not to utilize presidential powers for his family’s benefit, Biden gave his son a pardon on Sunday, saving him from a possible jail sentence for federal felony firearms and tax offenses.
Trump questioned if the pardon applied to the January 6 riots and swiftly criticized Biden’s announcement on Truth Social.
He wrote: “Are the J-6 Hostages, who have been in prison for years, included in Joe’s pardon of Hunter? What a miscarriage of justice and abuse!”

Following his convictions in Delaware and California, Biden declared back in June that he would not pardon his son.
Hunter was facing felony firearms charges in Wilmington, Delaware, for trying to buy a weapon in 2018 while struggling with substance abuse and addiction. After special counsel David Weiss indicted him, he entered a not guilty plea to his charges in October 2023.

“For all I have put them through over the years, I can spare them this, and so I have decided to plead guilty.”
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre rejected the notion of Hunter receiving a pardon or mercy as recently as November 8, saying: “We’ve been asked that issue several times. Our response is still the same: no.
Now, Biden’s decision to pardon Hunter comes less than two months before Trump returns to the White House and only weeks before Hunter was scheduled to be sentenced for his tax guilty plea and weapons conviction.
Hunter’s arduous legal journey came to a conclusion with the pardon. In December 2020, just after his father’s election victory, Hunter disclosed that he was the subject of a federal investigation.
In his statement, Biden stated: “I signed a pardon for my son Hunter today. Even though I have seen my son being unfairly and selectively pursued, I have remained true to my promise to not meddle in the Justice Department’s decision-making since the day I assumed office.
“After considering the circumstances of Hunter’s case, any sane person would conclude that Hunter was picked out solely because he is my son, which is incorrect.
“Despite relentless attacks and selective prosecution, there has been an attempt to break Hunter, who has been clean for five and a half years. They have attempted to break me in an attempt to break Hunter, and there is no reason to think that this will end. “Enough is enough.”
Hours after his father’s statement, Hunter submitted a court declaration accepting the pardon.
