Foxtale Book Shoppe opened six years ago in downtown Woodstock, adjacent to Woodstock City Park. The bookstore has a bunch of great events coming up for readers of all ages.
For Little Foxes
For little foxes, Foxtale has Children’s Story Time every Monday and Saturday at 11:00am in the children’s room. There is no age limit, and books appropriate for all ages are read. Story time is followed by a singing and dancing session and is topped off with tattoos and stickers for an extra treat.
Thursday, August 30th – Come meet Peter Brown, illustrator of Creepy Carrots!, a book about a rabbit who fears his favorite treats are out to get him. Children, parents, and grandparents are all welcome to this free event.
For Older Foxes
Next Wednesday, September 5th at 7:00pm, the foxes welcome Canadian mystery writer Louse Penny at her only stop in the Southeast for her eighth novel, The Beautiful Mystery. Tickets to the booksigning event include a signed first edition of The Beautiful Mystery. Tickets are available on Foxtale’s website, and pre-purchase is strongly encouraged. If you are unable to attend, a signed copy can be mailed to you or picked up at the Shoppe any time after the signing.
Book Clubs – Foxtale offers monthly book clubs for anyone interested in discussing a good read. Foxtalk Book Club meets the second Thursday of every month at 6:30pm.
Writing Classes – Time to dust off the ol’ pen? Foxtale offers writing classes for writers of all genres. Upcoming classes include Writer’s Roundtable, Memoir Writing, 50 Shades of Red: Writing Erotica, and Creative Writing.
