Two individuals have been indicted after allegedly bringing a rifle onto the campus of McEachern High School in Powder Springs. The incident, which occurred last month, has raised significant concern among parents, students, and school staff, leading to heightened security measures at the school.
According to the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office, the accused individuals were apprehended after school security officers received a tip about a possible weapon on campus. Following a swift investigation, authorities located the rifle in a vehicle parked in the school lot and took the suspects into custody without incident.
“The safety of our students and staff is our utmost priority,” stated a representative from the school administration. “We are cooperating fully with law enforcement to ensure a thorough investigation and to prevent future occurrences.”
