There is a huge feeling of anticipation in the air on Halloween. “Is it time to go yet?” “Can we put our costumes on?” “Can I have a piece of candy if I eat all my breakfast?” These are some of the many constant requests I hear throughout the day while my kids try their hardest to patiently await the Treating Hour.
Last year, we added some fun distractions to our day! We visited Earth, Paint & Fire for a cool Halloween pottery painting event and went to the downtown Woodstock KidFest where my oldest ‘bobbed’ for apples… so to speak. We’re looking forward to these fun, around about events, plus having little festivities of our own like baking ghoulish cupcakes, watching ‘spooky’ films, drinking slime, and playing fun games with our friends until the night officially begins!
Here’s some fun Haunted Party ingredients for your Halloween Weekend. Share with us some of your Halloween weekend plans and spooky ideas!
Slime Punch
(this is a family favorite for all kinds of parties!
Substitute with raspberry sherbet for other holidays! its so yummy!)
1 liter – Ginger Ale or 7-Up
1 small bottle or can – Juicy Juice (any flavor)
1 quart – Frozen Lime Sherbet
Pour/scoop it all into a big punch bowl, give it a couple stirs and enjoy!
For the eerie smoky effect shown in the photo, place dry ice and hot water in its own open container.
