Traveling with Kids

December 23, 2015

Traveling with children often means that extra luggage is included and extra stops for bathroom breaks. While the logistics of packing and planning for enough time are one thing, entertainment in the car is another thing. Many parents have heard the repeated mantra of, “Are we there yet?” and in an effort to avoid this, we encourage planning for entertainment in the car.

Traditional favorite car games may include the license plate game or the ABC game. Of course, many vehicles have DVD players and those are always great for longer car rides. Pack a few family favorites.townelaker

Encourage a love for reading with audiobooks for the whole family. Time in the car is a great way to introduce classics or keep up with what your children are reading by listening along to some of the young adult favorites. Check out what the Sequoyah Regional Library System has to offer in the line of audio books.

Bingo is a classic game for all. Young or old, five in a row is a simple way to win. Travel Bingo is a fun variation for traveling. Yet, traveling with paper bingo boards may make for more mess than necessary. Bingo Baker has offered a new take on the classic game with an electronic game board. This is perfect for kiddos in the backseat with their own devices. With a WiFi connection, a bingo board can easily be accessed on a phone, Kindle, iPad, or tablet device.

At TowneLaker, we’ve created a Travel Bingo board just for you. Access our version of Road Trip Bingo by typing in the url directly (https://bingobaker.com/play/598696), or by using the i-nigma app or other QR code reader to scan. With each scan of the QR code or refreshing of the webpage, a fully rearranged board game appears, so that multiple players can play against each other.
