Life as a parent is busy! Even so, it is important that time is spent pouring into your young ones on a regular basis. Whether through a coordinated activity such as a youth athletic league, or a simple 1-to-1 parent and child outing, these are deposits that will make for a lifetime of memories!

Here are some organizations and events for ideas in helping create memories for you and your child(ren) in and around the greater Cherokee County area!
Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency
There are all kinds of parks, events, and organized youth athletics available through the CRPA. Just a little while ago we shared many of the upcoming events and activities with CRPA for the start of the year. It’s not too late to get involved and take advantage of our local recreation and parks agency. Check out the photo with the recent ribbon cutting for the brand new playground at the Cherokee County Recreation Center located at 7545 Main Street (just northeast of Ridgewalk Parkway), it’s sure to be a hit with the kids!
Sequoyah Regional Library System
Our local library offers many great activities for children at the local branches. However, they also offer a zoo and park pass program! This is a great low-cost way to get your little ones out of the house and on a day trip to learn about animals at the zoo, and our local and state history at the parks!
Cherokee County Historical Society
If you want to add more local history into the mix of things for your children, consider a visit to the Cherokee County Historical Society in Canton, GA. There are many great events and exhibits offered throughout the year. The little lady in your life will love the annual American Girl Tea Party held in June!
We realize that this list is definitely not complete! What are your favorite events, activities, and places to visit with kids in Cherokee County? Please share them with us so that we can add them in the future.
