Spend the Weekend in Downtown Woodstock

September 5, 2012

This Friday and Saturday, September 7-8, downtown Woodstock has some great events for anyone looking to relax and explore the various businesses, restaurants and activities that the downtown area has to offer.

Friday Night Main Street Woodstock

This Friday, September 7th, Main Street Woodstock is hosting another Friday Night Live event, with “The Great Downtown Tailgate” as the theme. Show your team spirit and wear your favorite team’s gear to the event! Local business LKT Sports Art will have a Cornhole/Bean Bag Toss Tournement featuring 24 two-person teams. First place and runner ups will receive prizes from LKT Sports. Other businesses participating in Friday Night Live include Seven Arrows, Cupcakelicious, Copper Coin Coffee, Dress Up Boutique, and Blue Frog Imports.

There will also be $100 downtown gift certificate giveaways. For every $10 you spend at a downtown business during the event, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate. To enter, bring your receipt for any purchase made during the event to the Woodstock Visitor’s Center.

Saturday Night

Come on out to the final concert as part of the Woodstock Summer Concert Series for 2012 featuring country music artist Craig Campbell. Craig is originally from Lyons, Georgia, and his debut single “Family Man” made it to the top 20 Hot Country Songs in 2010. Craig’s music is said to be the traditional side of contemporary country, and has been compared to fellow Georgians Alan Jackson and Travis Tritt.

The concert will begin at 7:30pm, and concert-goers are encouraged to come early to find a good spot. For other concert information, check out the Woodstock Concert Series FAQ’s, and for insider information, check out our blog post on Woodstock Concerts 101.

Come on out and support local businesses and see what the revitalized downtown Woodstock area has to offer!
