With gas prices on the rise, many commuters from Cherokee County may be considering alternate routes to get to work. Fortunately, there are some options. Vanpooling is a great, cost-effective alternative for your daily commute. Participants can enjoy the convenience of sharing a stress-free ride to work with others in a friendly environment that’s easy on their wallet.
For anyone interested in joining the Cherokee County vanpool, times and pick-up locations are listed below:
For work hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
First pick up point: Publix – Prominence Point Exit 14 Holly Springs – pick up time is at 6:30 a.m.
Second pick up point: Lowes Hwy 92 Woodstock – pick up at 6:45 a.m.
For any riders interested in a stop further north, it would be considered if the participant wanted to drive the van.
AAA estimates a savings of over $7,000 per year with a 30-mile one-way commute by participating in a vanpool. In addition, riders get up to five free taxi rides home (which includes tip) per anniversary year should an emergency or need arise during the day.
