Samantha Markle, Meghan Markle’s half-sister, filed a defamation lawsuit against the Duchess of Sussex, but court records showed that Samantha’s team mistook Prince Harry for Prince William.
In justification of the disparity, Samantha’s lawyer, Peter Ticktin, told an outlet, “To most of us, Americans, we couldn’t give a tinker’s d— as to whether that prince is the Duke of Wales, the Duke of Sussex, or the Duke of Earl,” according to information obtained by Knewz.com.
According to court documents, the team called Harry the Duke of Wales, which is William’s dukedom.
“In fact, I wish I could say it was simply a spelling mistake when he should have been the Duke of Wails,” Ticktin grumbled.
Later, Ticktin talked about Harry’s public contempt for the press.
“In all seriousness, we have a guy here in theUnited Stateswho believes our 1st Amendment is ‘Bonkers’ meaning crazy, while he is one of 16 governors of a group called the Aspen Institute (the Ministry of Truth) who decide which statements on our internet should be deleted as misinformation,” the expert said.
“So, this foreigner, if we ever gave out titles in America, should be known as the Minister of Fiction,” added Ticktin. “This Duke is here as our guest, and his goal seems to be to control our speech.”
Harry may have to confront Donald Trump and his public threat to “take action” against the royal family while Meghan handles Samantha’s public grievances. Harry may be impacted by Trump’s present desire to deport large numbers of people because he acknowledged using illegal drugs in Spare.
“President Trump is someone who is firmly dedicated to ensuring the security of America’s borders and the full enforcement of American immigration law,” Niles Gardiner of the Heritage Foundation told GB News.
“With all the revelations about drug use by Harry in his own book,Spare, hisimmigrationrecords should be fully reviewed and open to the U.S. public for scrutiny,” the political analyst stated.
The Heritage Foundation and Homeland Security battled to make Harry’s visa application public, but Joe Biden’s government lost the case.
“So I’m very hopeful that we will see the release of Harry’s records by the next U.S. administration,” Gardiner said. “The American people should be able to judge for themselves what Harry actually put on his application and whether he was honest and truthful.”
Additionally, it would be a criminal act and he would be expelled from the nation if he had not been genuine and honest in his application. That’s how it is,” he continued.
Although Trump has been outspoken in his criticism of the Sussexes, lawyer Michael Wildes made a suggestion that the real estate magnate would permit Harry to remain in the country because of his connections to King Charles.
“He may just pardon the Prince from any domestic crimes,” Wildes said to a news outlet. “I’ve worked with Mr. Trump personally on very delicate matters in the past relating to immigration and he literally has a Trump card in these matters.”
Meghan called Trump “divisive” in 2016. According to some royal analysts, the pair fears the Republican will exact retribution on them.
“The way the Sussex bosses’ fortunes have turned out, it seems like karma or divine justice,” analyst Lee Cohen told GB News. Bad decisions and bad behavior have been catching up with them over the last year.
“I imagine there have been some sleepless nights in Montecito since Donald Trump’s historic landslide last week,” Cohen continued.
Newsweek spoke with Ticktin.
