Do you like to fish? If so, we’d love to tell you about the 1st Annual “LIVE ON” Fishing Tournament. The Towne Lake area is very fortunate to have students like Taylor Thompson, a senior at Etowah High School, who are willing to put their time, efforts, and passions to good use. Thompson, 17, is putting together a fishing tournament for his senior project in honor of his friend Connor Merritt. The tournament’s proceeds will go towards the Cherokee County Chapter of the Yellow Ribbon Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Awareness. The event will be held on Saturday, March 12th from safelight to 1pm at the Victoria Marina and the cost is $125 a boat. First Prize gets $1000!! But don’t take our word for it, watch the video to see what Taylor has to say!!
Not a fisherman? That’s ok too! Families can enjoy a nice day on the lake with a live band while eating JD’s BBQ and bidding on raffle items! If you would like to support Taylor by donating raffle items or monetary donations, you can call Ashley Cantwell at 770-533-3514.
