Kennesaw State Football Starts Training for First FBS Season

Kennesaw State University’s football team is gearing up for an exciting new chapter as they prepare for their first-ever season in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). With spring practice kicking off, the team is diving into intense preparations for what promises to be a memorable season.

Under the guidance of Coach Brian Bohannon, the team has made significant changes to its coaching staff, welcoming three new coordinators to lead the offense and defense. Chandler Burks and Stewart Cook, both former players, are now co-offensive coordinators, while Greg Harris has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

Following this, they will return home to Fifth Third Stadium for their home opener against Louisiana-Lafayette on September 7, providing fans with an opportunity to show their support for the team. One of the most anticipated games on the schedule is their first-ever Conference USA matchup against Jacksonville State on October 4, which will test the team’s readiness for conference play.
