Woodstock city officials are seeking public input regarding a new project. This initiative will focus on the revitalization of Highway 92 spanning from 575 to Main Street. A planning team welcomes you to visit the Woodstock Highway 92 Corridor LCI website for more information, and they would love public opinion through community participation in a brief
The not too distant past brought about large changes within downtown Woodstock as the result of a similar project. In 2002, the City of Woodstock received a grant from the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) to conduct a Livable Centers Initiative Study (LCI study). This study acted as a springboard to the revitalization that has come to downtown over the years. Wider sidewalks, more efficient parking, improved transportation options, and a variety of other initiatives have brought new life to a vibrant downtown Woodstock.
If you’d like to get more involved with the current revitalization project of Highway 92, then consider joining in on a Community Workshop or signing up for email updates. The next Community Workshop will take place on Sept. 23, and you may email Deanna Murphy of the Sizemore Group (deannam@sizemoregroup.com) to get occasional email updates about the project.
