Grave Escalation: South Korea Says Kim Jong-un’s Troops Have Engaged Ukrainians Near Kursk

South Korean sources claim that as part of Vladimir Putin’s increased attempts to stop the mini-invasion into Russian territory, Kim Jong-un’s men have already run across Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region.

According to information obtained by Knewz.com, the most recent development occurs as North Korea keeps supplying Russia with weapons.

Since it has the potential to increase political tensions in the Korean Peninsula and the larger Indo-Pacific area, which includes Japan and Australia, the deployment of Kim Jong-un’s forces in the conflict in Ukraine has raised alarms among the international community.

In his remarks, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte called Kim Jong-un’s deployment of troops against Ukraine a “dangerous expansion of Russia’s war” and said it marked a substantial increase in the country’s involvement in the conflict.

He went on to say that NATO is keeping a careful eye on the situation and is “actively consulting” on it with Ukraine, NATO’s “Indo-Pacific partners,” and other members of the alliance.

The increased military cooperation between the two countries has been referred to the South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol as a “provocation that threatens global security beyond the Korean Peninsula and Europe.”

A South Korean politician recently cited the nation’s National Intelligence Service to allege that Kim’s men were directly fighting Ukrainians on the Kursk battlefield.

According to reports, the South Korean intelligence service is still attempting to ascertain “the exact number of North Korean troop casualties and whether any had surrendered amid conflicting information,” the official continued.

Notably, North Korean foreign minister Choe Son Hui said the country will “stand by” Russia until it wins in Ukraine during her trip to Moscow earlier in November.

But soon after the visit, Kim Jong-un’s forces made a grave mistake on the battlefield when they shot their own Russian allies dead in a crossfire with Ukrainian troops.

A captured Russian soldier who described battling with Kim Jong-un’s men in the Kursk region brought attention to the error.

In addition, reports indicated that the North Korean troops stationed in Ukraine were untrained and ill-trained in combat, with analysts estimating that the majority of them are “unlikely to come back home alive.”

For the first time, a foreign country has dispatched uniformed troops to aid Russian military efforts, with North Korea sending 10,000 troops to the conflict in Ukraine.

The figures are said to include roughly 500 officers, a few generals, and members of the North Korean army’s elite Storm Corps.

According to a recent investigation by Justin McCurry of The Guardian, North Korean forces stationed in Ukraine are “inexperienced, poorly trained, and underfed.”

“Depending on whom you ask, they are the boost that Russian forces need to make a significant breakthrough in Ukraine, or they are simple cannon fodder, destined for repatriation in body bags,” McCurry said in his evaluation.

“None of the young men drafted from Kim Jong-un’s regular army… have seen combat,” he noted. Additionally, they will be fighting in new weapons, on uncharted territory, and wearing uniforms that fly the flag of a Russian nation they don’t know anything about.”

Additionally, audio recordings made public by Ukraine’s military intelligence agency revealed Russian soldiers grumbling about being forced to fight with Kim Jong-un’s forces.

The audio footage purportedly showed Russian soldiers calling Kim Jong-un’s army “F—— Chinese” and citing one of his fellow soldiers as saying, “Who knows what the f— we’re supposed to do with them.”

However, as Russian troops engage Ukrainian forces in combat, rumors have also stated that the North Korean Supreme Leader has provided Russia with more weapons and ammunition.

These include multiple rocket launchers and self-propelled howitzers, according to Reuters.

Regarding North Korea’s support of Russian war operations, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently stated that the initial conflicts with North Korea mark the beginning of a new era of global instability.

However, President Joe Bidento authorized Ukraine to use US-supplied missiles in long-range strikes deep within Russian territory after North Korean troops were deployed in the conflict. In response, Putin signed an updated nuclear doctrine for Russia that lowers the threshold for the country’s nuclear response.

In a recent statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said:

“Kyiv s use of long-range missiles to attack our territory would represent the direct involvement of theUnited Statesand its satellites in hostilities against Russia, as well as a radical change in the essence and nature of the conflict.”

The United States is reportedly getting ready to send antipersonnel and mines to Ukraine in order to help stop the advancing invading forces.
