2017 Easter Egg Hunts

Basket Collection through April 7

The “Some Bunny Special” program, sponsored by the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency, is looking for donations of Easter baskets for children in need throughout Cherokee County. The agency hopes to reach at least 300 kids. Baskets need to be filled only with Easter-related items (candy, stuffed animals, toys, etc.) Donations can be delivered to the Recreation Center at 7545 Main St., Building 200, in Woodstock.
The Holly Springs Easter Bunny gets a special escort.

 

April 8

City of Holly Springs’ 16th annual Easter Egg Hunt at Barrett Park, 120 Park Lane, beginning at 11 a.m. Guests can arrive early to check out the petting zoo, get their face painted, create spin art, and have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Each family will receive one complimentary printed picture. About 13,000 Easter eggs will be hidden for children up to age 12. Each child will receive a special prize. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place April 15. 770-345-5536.

 

Easter Egg Hunt for all active duty and retired veterans and their families. Located across from the Cherokee County Senior Services building at 1001 Univeter Road, Canton, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Activities for ages 1-13 include egg coloring, egg spoon race and an appearance by the Easter Bunny. For more info call 770-479-4405. Sponsored by Cherokee County Senior Services and Cherokee County Homeless Veteran Program.

 

April 15

Egg Hunt at Sutallee Baptist Church, 895 Knox Bridge Highway begins at 2 p.m. 770-479-0101.

More than 12,000 eggs will be waiting for children at Sunnyside Church of God, 2510 E. Cherokee Drive, as well as carnival games, the Easter bunny, food, sno-cones, inflatables, a section for special-needs kids and prize eggs. The free event is for babies through age 12. 770.693.1018.

 

Canton EGGfest, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on East Marietta Street, downtown Canton. Free to enter and fun for the whole family. Includes live performances, glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, inflatable fun zone, the Easter Bunny, food trucks and more. Proceeds benefit NextStep Ministries.

 

Egg hunt at Bascomb United Methodist Church, 2295 Bascomb Carmel Road, Woodstock, 11 a.m.-noon.

 

Eggs-traordinary Extravaganza at the Cherokee County Aquatic Center, 1200 Gresham
Mill Parkway, Holly Springs. Traditional egg hunt for ages 1-3, shallow water hunt for ages 4-10, underwater egg dive for ages 6-10. Also featuring inflatables, face painting, crafts, prizes and an Easter Bunny visit. Baskets provided for water egg hunts; younger children bring baskets. 678-880-4760.

 

City On A Hill United Methodist Church egg hunt begins at 9:30 and 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at 7745 Main St., Woodstock.
