DeKalb County Tattoo Parlor Shooting, Suspect Detained

Brookhaven Police arrested a suspect in a late Thursday night shooting outside a tattoo business in DeKalb County. Ink N Flesh Tattoo Shop in the 4400 block of Chamblee Dunwoody Road hosted the unnerving event.

A person was hurt and shooting was reported around 10:25 p.m. Authorities arrived. Law authorities found a gunshot-wounded male. The person died on the site despite the quick reaction. Prior to notification of next of kin, the deceased’s name is hidden.

The gunfire prompted Brookhaven Police to investigate the 8600 block of Roberts Drive in Sandy Springs. The suspect’s car was found at the Preserve at Dunwoody Apartments, completing the evidentiary chain.

With help from Sandy Springs Police, Brookhaven Police arrested 35-year-old Jonathan Thomas, the culprit in this terrible case. Thomas faces allegations of criminal murder, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and felony firearm possession. His judicial proceedings are underway in DeKalb County Jail.

Authorities are investigating the tragic encounter to determine what happened. The motivation for the shooting is still being investigated by law officials.
