Authorities are investigating the discovery of a deceased man found inside a car at a Smyrna apartment complex. The grim find was made on Tuesday evening, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement.
Residents of the complex on Oak Ridge Road alerted police after noticing the man, who appeared unresponsive, sitting in a parked vehicle. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the individual was deceased. The area was immediately cordoned off as investigators worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
“The investigation is ongoing, and we are treating this as a suspicious death until proven otherwise,” said a spokesperson for the Smyrna Police Department. Detectives and forensic teams were seen examining the car and the surrounding area for clues.
