For the second year in a row, the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency (CRPA) is partnering with Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services for its “Some Bunny Special” initiative. The goal of this program is to deliver Easter baskets to less fortunate children throughout Cherokee County.
The program, which runs from March 10 to April 12, has the goal to reach 300 children this year (150 boys and 150 girls).
All baskets must be pre-filled. You may purchase one or create a basket with your own personal touch, but please fill baskets with Easter-related items only (i.e. candy, plastic eggs, toys, etc). They can then be dropped off at a number of locations including various fire Cherokee County Fire stations throughout the county.
Drop-off sites include –
- CRPA Recreation Center: 7545 Main St., Building 200, Woodstock
- Fire Department Headquarters (lobby area): 150 Chattin Drive, Canton
- Station 4 (Free Home): 9253 Free Home Hwy. (SR 372), Canton
- Station 23 (Hickory Flat): 7675 Vaughn Rd., Canton
- Station 19 (Oak Grove): 100 Ridgemille Court, Acworth
- Station 12: 9081 Fincher Rd. (Hwy 108), Waleska
