CINCINNATI —
Hamilton County Juvenile Court did not hear from the third juvenile suspect in connection with the brutal assault on a woman on a Metro bus on Friday.
Judge orders 14-year-old suspect to be held without bond upon capture, says Hamilton County Prosecutor Melissa Powers. Along with two other suspects, she has neglected to show up for her scheduled court appearances.
“That doesn’t happen very often in juvenile because (edit) when you’re that age it’s hard to just disappear and you live a home typically with your mother and father or both, you’re going to school, pretty easy to find,” legal analyst Mark Krumbein said, speaking to FOX19 NOW.
A 17-year-old did not show up for court on August 15. Upon her apprehending, the judge directed that she be kept without bond.
After a 14-year-old boy did not show up for his July 29 court appearance, the judge ordered his detention until a parent could post bond.
Documents show that a 13-year-old child was found not guilty when he appeared in court on August 15. The judge pointed out that there is no evidence of his physically assaulting the victim in the footage shot from the bus.

The victim reported the suspects to the authorities, saying that she had been threatened by people she did not know. Their assault began when she attempted to defend herself.
According to the responding officers, the woman had “serious injuries to her face.”
Police have noted that the boys allegedly damaged the bus door by repeatedly kicking it before they fled.
They had an electronic monitoring device and were initially released from jail.
