The tail end of the Summer Concert Series is in sight, and that means that it is almost time for the annual September Brown Bag Concert Series! Parents of young children, grandparents, nannies, and babysitters have come to enjoy this annual fall tradition.
Thursday afternoons, throughout the month of September, a guest band or solo artist performs a free concert in The Park at City Center. Children play tag and frisbee, adults sit back and relax in a lawn chair or on a blanket and enjoy the tunes.
This year’s series is set to take place from noon to 1pm on Thursdays throughout September. Mark your calendars for the following acts:
Sept. 3-Craig Gleason
Sept 10-Ashley Carson
Sept. 17-Bob Geresti
Sept. 24-John Amoroso
Fall Break
The 9/24 Brown Bag Concert happens to overlap the Fall Break scheduled for Cherokee County School District. This is always a great opportunity for parents to get out and enjoy a free concert in the park and a lunch on the green!
Don’t forget to arrive early no matter the day you come! You’ll want to be sure to find a parking spot and allow yourself enough time to haul your lawn chairs or blankets as well as your brown bag lunch!
