Adventure Quest, Episode 2, The Scout Awakens

Calling all parents with adventure-loving kiddos; this could be perfect for you!

The Boy Scouts of America Appalachian District, which serves Cherokee County, is hosting a scouting event on Aug 27 for  any elementary-age child, boy or girl, who has an interest in scouting or, perhaps, wants to see if it is a program he would like to be involved in.  

About Adventure Quest:

Adventure Quest, Episode 2, The Scout Awakens, is going to be a day of Adventure Quest activities including fishing, archery, slingshots, rockets, crafts, sports and more!

When: Saturday, Aug. 27, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. *storm trooper

*Come anytime and stay for however long you’d like -there are no time constraints at Adventure Quest!

Where: Church of the Messiah, 415 Charles Cox Dr. Canton, GA 30115

Cost: $5 per participant

Theme: Star Wars

*Patches are first come/first serve but will be held for all pre-registered individuals. Kids do not need to be a current scout, but any boy or girl that is interested in joining Cub Scouts or Girl Scouts

Lunch can be purchased from one of the local Boy Scout Troops. Rumor has it there will be a guest appearance of the 501st Storm Trooper Legion between 9 and 11 a.m., along with photo opportunities.

This will be a great activity for the whole family. Explore new activities and make new friends in a safe environment. Who knows? Maybe your kids will discover they want to be an Eagle Scout one day.
