CINCINNATI —
In an assault and two shootings that took place in July, prosecutors have charged a 23-year-old woman with many offenses, including murder.
About the shooting that took place on July 12 in the 3000 block of Reading Road, Akira Fletcher is now facing charges of murder, aggravated murder, and felonious assault, according to prosecutors. A Hamilton County grand jury indicted her on Friday.
A woman was assaulted by two other ladies who began throwing rocks at her while she was in her car.
The driver allegedly shot the two ladies who attacked her in self-defense, according to the police.
The women were sent to UC Medical Center. The 29-year-old Nyema Norton passed away at the hospital on Monday.
If Fletcher was the one behind the wheel is anybody’s guess.
At the forthcoming arraignment, will be officially charged and allowed to enter a plea, marking the next step in the legal process for this case.
A trial, during which the prosecution and defense will present their respective cases, is likely to be a part of the court processes.
