The terrifying news broke when a girl named Giana Castillo, 17, of Texas, allegedly tried to plan a school shooting, according to KXAN.
Allegedly, the 17-year-old threatened an Austin primary school via the internet. It didn’t take long for the FBI to figure out that Graham Elementary School student Giana Castillo had been posting disturbing comments online about a potential active shooter scenario.
According to records, investigators discovered that Castillo had an unusual fascination with past active shooters and made disturbing remarks when investigators asked the FBI to monitor his IP address.
Castillo was well-acquainted with Graham Elementary because she attended from 2013 to 2017, and an affidavit said that Gianna Costello had also intended to murder her entire family before visiting the school.

An emergency reaction was initiated by the Austin Independent School District due to a threat to one of their primary schools.

In response to threats, the Austin Independent School District increased security at Graham Elementary after Canva Castillo’s arrest and the cooperation of Castillo’s parents with law enforcement.
Castillo may face extremely grave accusations, including the third-degree crime of terroristic threats. According to inmate records, the 17-year-old is currently listed as having a bail of $100,000 at the Travis County facilities.
