Holiday Lights of Hope Returns to Hobgood Park

Once again, Hobgood Park in Towne Lake will light up for the season at the Second Annual Holiday Lights of Hope. The elaborate display of holiday lights will be open to the public between 6 p.m. and 10 pm. Thursday, Dec. 12 through Sunday, Dec. 21.at the park located at 6688 Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock.

Tickets are $10 for adults and free for children 14 and under. This year, attendees will be able to walk through the main display totaling over 500,000 LED lights, see a 30-foot tall Christmas light tree, a 17-foot tall reindeer and a 15-foot tall snowman family.

Other features include a Christmas maze that has more than 5,000 feet of lights, a village in which residents can visit and take photos with Santa Claus, a children’s area, vendors, concessions and live music.

The event raises money for the Anna Crawford Children’s Center based in Canton, which is a private, non-profit, community-based organization dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect; and protecting and serving children and families.

Since 1989, this nonprofit, community-based organization has worked to break the cycle of child abuse through prevention and intervention services. Programs, based out of include Parents HELP and the Child Advocacy Center.
